A note from the President

My love-affair with motorized transport began at age 12 with the purchase of my first car. I built several cars for myself and helped many friends with their cars as well. I started to become known for my engine building by the time I bought my first motorcycle in 1993. It became clear to me that riding a motorcycle was something so much more than riding around in a steel cage with windows and a roof. Riding motorcycles is something so much more pure and undiluted. My passion for motorcycles soon drowned out the cars.

I began modifying motorcycles in 1997 in Detroit, MI (my home-town). I modified my GS550 with a tail chop, smaller tail light, custom license plate mount, drag-bars, pipe, lowered the bike and rode the wheels off of it. I had always wanted a Ducati and it wasn't until I moved to New Mexico that I finally committed. I bought a red 1999 M750 on July 1st, '00. I had intended to keep this motorcycle pristine and completely original. That lasted about 11 weeks. Ducati's self-retracting side-stand claimed the life of my shifter lever and caused a dimple in the side of my shiny red fuel tank. It was suddenly clear to me that this machine was in need of modifications. Since purchasing the bike, it has been in an unride-able state four times for modifications. (and counting...)

I have a burning passion for clean, elegant motorcycles that exude simplicity and have such an uncluttered look as to generate a long second stare from those who admire such machines. My dream motorcycle is one that is simply an engine, a handful of tubes to connect wheels to the ground and a tank to house the fuel in.

After completing my Ducati in Oct. '04, I entered the San Francisco show, took first place, and won a trip to the national finals at Daytona in March '05. At Daytona, I was up against the best of the best. I knew that I was out-gunned when it came to horsepower, however I was confident that my consistency of design and clarity of purpose would be a strong contender. I was right... I took first place in the national contest, winning a 2005 Monster S4R! After winning, I pursued my dream one step further, and brought my design abilities to the general public.

Lastly, I live my life by my motto: If you're not going all the way, don't go anywhere at all. Which interprets as: If you're not building the motorcycle right, don't do anything at all to it.
